Chlorin e6-Amine refers to a conjugate of Chlorin e6, a natural photosensitizer derived from chlorophyll, with an amine group. 
Chlorin e6-Amine can be used in PDT for cancer treatment by targeting cancer cells while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissues. After administration, the compound accumulates in cancer cells and, upon light activation, produces ROS that induce cell death.
Due to its optical properties, Chlorin e6-Amine can also be employed in biosensors for detecting specific biomolecules, leveraging its ability to generate fluorescence or absorbance changes upon binding.
It can act as a photosensitizer in drug delivery systems, enhancing the localization and efficacy of therapeutic agents when used in combination with light activation.
